You know what? I really dislike group work. Sometimes I feel like I have to stalk people just to get an assignment done and if had to only count on myself that wouldn't be necessary. Then again, we are in a communication class and it might be something that will end up helping in the long run. We will just have to find out I guess.
You definitely have me laughing. Setting the rules sometime help.
I agree - that's why I left UOP - they require team assignments in every class. You end up dragging some folks and doing twice the work!
The BAD:
It's like when I was first in college, I was 19 and working as a waitress. At first it was great - got a lot of tips, shared it with my busboy and cook. then they told us we had to 'pool' the tips. No way - paying out tips to those that were not pulling their weight! I went to a business college and the rest is history.
THE GOOD -
In any business you really need to learn to work with people and you're going to find 'type A' folks who will go above and beyond and you'll find the slackers... those who try to skate through life just to pick up a paycheck. We all need to find what motivates those folks and spur them into action, doing the work for them is not helping them or us!
Off my soap box now... ;-)
