CHAPTER TWO: MULTICULTURAL COMMUNICATION
People are sometimes concerned with offending others during multicultural interaction. Behavior takes precedence over focusing on the task at hand. During exchanges, inexperience results in patronizing and undue assumptions. These assumptions include expertise, values, behaviors, and assimilation. We should treat others as equal during multicultural exchanges. Listen with genuine interest. Give an individual benefit of doubt. Discovery and knowledge about your subject are advantageous.
